The Romero Centre Welcome Walk will be held on 5 June to support people seeking asylum. It will highlight the thousands of long, exhausting and dangerous journeys that many people have taken to flee war, political or religious persecution to seek safety and protection in Australia and to honour and respect people’s right to a safe refuge and people’s right to be welcoming and humane. No one should ever have to walk alone.
Our Story
Our team will be doing the Welcome Walk to come together in an act of solidarity, with hundreds of other people who wish to express their welcoming spirit to those in need and acknowledge that no one should have to walk alone in their quest for safety and security in their lives. Together we can create a community we are all proud to be part of. Please sponsor our team to help people seeking asylum.
